It was my sister's wedding and as everyone else, I was super excited about it specially for the outfits. I started shopping way before the wedding month as I searched a lot because I wanted to wear something that could define me and my personality. I opted for Indian outfits in every occasion as I love Indian than any other, as it makes me feel comfortable and look beautiful. One thing I kept in my mind that I don't want to repeat colours or style of any outfit. An my main concern was customization of my outfits as I wanted my touch in it, so I bought my outfits not only from designer shops but got it made from my very own tailor.

Also, I decided to come up with this blog as wedding season tend to start in the month of April, so this is the right time to go and shop.

It's going to be a long post so without any further delay, let's get started as I am so excited to share all the details with you all.

This was a cape navy blue dress which I wore on the first day of all the ceremonies. It was a night function and I really loved the way it was. I bought it from Global Desi, and it has outfits for almost every occasion be it a day out or a function like this. The dress is sleeveless and has a side slit on both sides and a jacket with a button. As the dress itself was full of prints, so I didn't go much with accessories. I just completed my look with small maang teeka. The footwear is not visible in this picture, but I wore a golden flip ons with ghungroos on it.

Here I am sharing few pictures from the event:

Outfit details-

Cape Dress: Global Desi

Maang teeka: Mom's jewellery collection

This is my custom made outfit and I am proud of myself (ha ha). I got the shirt material from Udaipur and only then, I decided that I am going to wear this on mehndi because according to me the colour was apt. But as you will see below, I am wearing something which is neither a suit or skirt. I got a coral cloth from Nehru place market (Delhi) and got it stitched with the shirt material. It might sound complicated but trust me, it is not. For this specific attire, nothing was certain as how I will complete my look as I shopped everything in bits and pieces without any image in my mind. The Gajra I am wearing here is from PureGheeDesigns, it has amazing collection and I bumped up into this when I went to nature's bazaar (chattarpur).

I completed my look with silver earrings, because Silver is one thing I love the most and which defines me the most.

Sharing few pictures of my look:

I decided to wore a pastel colour saree on the ring ceremony/sagan as it was a day function. I loved the decor as it was all mint color and was completely going with my outfit (pun intended).

The saree is by designer Medha Batra and it comes with a ready made blouse. I bought it from Frontier Raas, South Extension (Delhi). When I saw this piece, I was awestruck but crossed my fingers as I didn't want to spend huge amount. The cost of this saree was around 25k but amazing discounts were going on so I got it for 13k (INR).

What I loved about this saree is:

It has a ready to wear blouse with cutout design, The colour, The price, The simplicity, The feminine touch with all beads on the border. What else one wish for ? This is the best thing I purchased so far.

The saree being so simple, I decided to go for some kundan jewellery and box clutch. Also, added white big bindi to give my outfit a vintage look.

Here are some pictures:

Box Cluch: Old ( so don't remember the price and shop)

Kundan Earrings: Grand Mother's jewellery collection

Ring: Chandni Chowk (Rs.150)

I don't know what to call this style because it is not exactly anarkali as it has flowy culottes with it. I got it all made from my boutique aunty which stays nearby my place. I tell you, she is stunning in her work though a bit expensive but obviously so much less than a designer. So, I forwarded her this design and voila, I got it made in 30k. Yes it is not at all in budget but the work is all hand made. And I loved the way it turned out be as per my imagination. Now after seeing this picture you must be knowing, that I am huge vintage lover. I love vintage looks and jewellery. This time too, I paired my outfit with some old jewellery and got a messy fish tail for typical old era look and also, wore a golden hai accessory.

Yes, I love box clutches as they super handy and easy to carry. Here also, I am carrying a golden box clutch to complete my look.

Hair accessory: Lajpat Nagar

I surveyed a lot for lehnga, because I wanted something unique and beautiful. I checked various boutique shops but didi't find anything which I could just grab. So I decided to go and search in chandni chowk and after checking so many shops there, I bumped to this shop (which was also recommended by one of my cousins) named TEK CHAND ARJIT GOEL. This shop is in a small lane which is inside somewhere the main market. They have decent lehengas and suits, at good prices.

When I was at the shop, I was not sure about what exactly I want. But then I saw a white one piece long outfit with sequence all over, so then I decided I want something like this but in the form of lehnga. I asked the person to make the same outfit in two pieces. So I got the lehnga ready made of my size along with blouse material which I got stitched from my boutique aunty.

About the blouse-

I didn't want a cliche blouse with deep neck or something. So I went with full sleeves off shoulder design. And you will see in the pictures below that how it turned out.

As my lehnga was full of sequence, I decided not to go overboard with jewellery so I completed my look with a maang teeka and the same gold box clutch.
